A dedicated few braved the heat and humidity last Saturday to attend our garden tour. Grounds Manager Deb King spent about an hour and a half showing people around the grounds. She talked about the various flower varieties and tree species. In addition, she took visitors into the Study for a brief tour. Despite the heat, everyone enjoyed themselves and sent great feedback to our director.
Visitors viewed historical photos of Lew Wallace’s gardens and water features and discussed Victorian gardening. They also learned about the low-maintenance gardening practiced on the 3.5 acres of the General Lew Wallace Study & Museum. A special feature of the tour was the newly restored Reflecting Pool, dedicated in 2018.

Deb maintains our garden single-handedly. Our Adopt-A-Spot supporters provide funding for the gardens, allowing Deb to purchase seeds and bulbs.
